roVideoPlayer Events, the layer is a list. Could I use the remote control to focus one item? Need I encode to define the remote control action(like up or down)?

Hey hopefully someone sees this. I love your products! Just got my Roku3 and been using for maybe a decade? Since the beginning, and also Netflix since the first year. Anyway would love to see one single thing upgraded. I have a hard drive with my music on it all organized tree structure with long names for old concerts. The little icon based scroll left/right USB reader/player app would be great if could have more a file manager tree structure viewer option, with no icon space just lists of either directories or MP3 song content ala File Manager in Windows. Much more efficient use of space. My concert names are all date_place and some are long like 1988_04_22_Irvine_Meadows_Amphitheater for example which can't be seen the way you do it. They are in directories via year as well. Yes, this is all an old DeadHead organizing over a thousand concerts... Anyway, would make life much easier! You guys are great and innovative I love the ear buds on the remote and so does my wife because she is sick of my music! :)

We submitted our channel in Jan. We have been a sub channel for two years, now we have hired a developer, so we can be in the channel store. Is there a backlog or has something slowed the publishing process? I have noticed several new channels but ours has not launched. I did get some feedback that the SD splash page would not open completely but nothing since then. If two weeks is the target for publishing we are in our seventh week, just wondering if I can do something to make sure ROKU has everything they need from us? channel is destiny tv and destiny tv lite...Thanks for checking on this for me.

I am having trouble creating a simple white SplashScreen startup color. I have typed in the values #FFFFFF, and #ffffff - nothing appears to work.

Seems the TargetRotate attribute for an "item" rotates the entire canvas layer. I was under the impression that it rotates only the *target* item. In my case i just wanted my rectangle (TargetRect) to rotate.
Am i missing something?

I have made it as far as the basic list function..

from that point on, I can't seem to grasp the concept of creating the grid screen, nor the proper way to implement (parse) the XML file.
I know that I have to create a function, and then call that function..
I have not created an InitContentList because I was trying to do that via the XML, but for the life of me, I can't seem to get a grasp of the proper way to code it.

Hi Gary. So I can start diagnosing in the right place, can you tell me how far you've gotten? For example, if you've started with the sample in the post, do you have the basic list -> grid -> detail screen navigation in place? I'm not sure if the problem you are having is in the XML parsing, screen navigation, or launching the video.

I had a conversation with a rep from Yume a few weeks ago. Basically Yume wants to pre-approve any channel that they provide ads for (understandable, but do all video ad providers require this?) and they were not interested in getting involved in any channels with a small number of subscribers. I got the general impression that he felt I was wasting his time. In the end, the rep promised to provide me with an NDA to sign and access to integration code, but then never followed up or replied to any subsequent attempts to email him.

Attempting to implement a grid screen with the source videos referenced via an external XML file without success. The basic stack I currently have is "TV" then "Cartoons".
When "Cartoons" is clicked on by the viewer, I would like to show a grid screen similar to the detailed lunch menu, then when an item is clicked on, will show a detail screen with the option to launch the video.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
And the more detail you could provide the better..LOL
